The Beers
At Great Divide, we brew some of the most balanced, flavorful, and
sought- after beers in the world. We offer a wide spectrum of ales,
ranging from easy-drinking yet flavorful Samurai and Ridgeline
Amber, to our perennial award-winning Denver
Pale Ale, to our massively-hopped,
challenging heavyweights such as Hercules
Double IPA and Old Ruffian
Barley Wine. Our unwavering commitment to brewing unique and flavorful beers has paid off, in accolades including 12 Great American Beer Festival Medals, four World Beer Cup Awards, our ranking as 23rd best brewery in the World in Ratebeer.com’s 2007 “Top 100 Brewers in the World” and our frequent appearances in several beer categories on Ratebeer.com and Beeradvocate.com. Finding each of our beers may lead you off the beaten path, but Great Divide’s great-tasting, challenging and assertive beers make the quest entirely worth the effort.
The Really Big Beers
Over the years, Great Divide has racked up numerous national and
international honors for its beers, from Denver
Pale Ale and St. Bridget’s
Porter, to our aggressive, daringly bold Hibernation.
Unfazed by commercial success, Great Divide founder, Brian Dunn,
knew there was yet another frontier to conquer – that of the “big
beers.” Known for their almost unreal quantities of hops, malt,
hops, and alcohol (did we mention hops?), these behemoth beers are
not for the faint of heart.
Much in the spirit of our original big beer, Hibernation
Ale (brewed every winter since 1995), Great Divide introduced Titan
IPA, Hercules Double IPA and Yeti
Imperial Stout in 22 ounce bombers. Immediately, big-beer lovers
embraced these robust ales with a cult-like fervor. Titan
IPA’s overwhelming popularity quickly prompted a change
in production to Titan 6-packs. Over the
past year, Great Divide has added bombers of the new heavyweights Old
Ruffian Barley Wine and Oak Aged
Yeti Imperial Stout to our big beer line up. See for yourself
what the excitement is about – and then introduce your friends
to the new frontier of beer.
